PENGARUH UANG SAKU, GAYA HIDUP DAN LINGKUNGAN TEMAN SEBAYATERHADAP POLA KONSUMSI MAHASISWA MANAJEMEN KEUANGANSYARIAH UIN SULTAN THAHA SAIFUDDIN JAMBI

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the influence of pocket money, lifestyle, and peer environment on the
consumption patterns of students in Islamic Finance Management (MKS) at UIN Sulthan Thaha
Saifuddin Jambi in 2021 and 2022. Using a quantitative approach, this study collected data through
questionnaires, which were analyzed using statistical techniques. The sample for this study consisted
of 78 students from the Islamic Finance Management (MKS) program at UIN Sulthan Thaha
Saifuddin Jambi in 2021 and 2022. The results of the t-test show that there is a significant influence of
pocket money, lifestyle, and peer environment on the students' consumption patterns, with t-values
greater than the t-table value and significance levels smaller than 0.05. Additionally, the F-test results
show that simultaneously, these three variables have a significant impact on students' consumption
patterns. These findings indicate that factors such as pocket money, lifestyle, and peer environment
play an important role in shaping students' consumption patterns in higher education.
