This study aims to examine the implementation of Islamic financial management among traders in the Sungai Manau Market and to identify the factors that influence its application. The research employs a qualitative approach, utilizing data collection techniques such as observation, interviews, and documentation. Informants consist of 37 traders with diverse business backgrounds as well as the market manager. The findings reveal that most traders have an initial awareness of applying Islamic financial management principles, such as separating personal and business funds and giving zakat when gaining surplus income. However, the implementation remains informal and is not yet supported by systematic financial records.Several factors influence the application of Islamic financial management: (1) socio-cultural factors rooted in traditional, inherited business practices; (2) low levels of literacy and managerial skills in Islamic finance; (3) limited capital and access to Islamic financing options; and (4) minimal use of technology and Islamic-based financial applications. This study recommends providing relevant education and training on Islamic finance, promoting the use of user-friendly digital tools for financial recording, and encouraging collaboration among local government, Islamic financial institutions, and community leaders to build a more professional market economy aligned with Islamic principles.
